Heaven Day

Remembering and honoring my Dad

He made me this playhouse,
notice I had wind chimes back then?

It had begun already - the decorating bug!

And a little bottle of cologne I open every now and then...

It's such a happy thing to have someone you love
with you in your heart each day!

Oh yes, sweets, it is. Be at peace today with your nice memories. Sit in your beautiful garden (of course I shall be there for my Dr. Pepper that I only allow myself every once in awhile due to calories!) I shall be there in spirit and a virtual hug for you! And it's so nice to have you for a friend! Your daddy raised a fine gal!

Good Morning Tracie,
I have a tiny bottle of my grandmothers favorite perfume that I do the same thing with. It definitely tugs at my heart while making me smile.
We finally have blessed overcast relief from the heat today.
You and Zeke stay cool!

Hi Tracie,
I love that picture of you and your daddy, so precious. Hey, you haven't stopped by and seen my kitchen, check it out and let me know what you think. I hope you are having a fabulous weekend.

Hugs,

Tracie,
I love the memories. It's so nice to have memories that we can think about and it puts a smile on our face.
The playhouse must of been fun to have. I also remember the carousel in the background, you had to pump it and it would go around, those where fun.

Have a wonder day.

Ciao

Hi Sweeite,

Your dad looks so very proud of you, I am sure he is looking down from the heavens above watching over you each and every day.

Hi Trac...
I finally feel better. I puked and had the worst headache of my LIFE on Friday evening.
I am done with the meds and my UTI, I hope is gone!
We are going on a mini vacation on Friday. Carmel again....with 3 kids and each is bringing a friend, also both dogs :0) Leonard and I will have our own cabin so I am looking forward to the snuggly time.
Starting Thursday...I will be off for a whole week! I am excited but I have so much summer cleaning to do. We will be gone for 3 days and then I have to get ready to move in to my space, clean and have the garage sale...I was too sick last weekend.
August 4th will be the 2 year passing of my dad. Thank goodness for mementos, and memories.
I am posting Tuesday about my goodies from my swap with Shannon.
Whew this was long!

Very sweet post. My dad is quite ill (liver disease) and my family is cherishing each and every day with him (he still has lots of "good" days so we're feeling blessed). Your post brought tears to my eyes but also a smile to my face as I know each memory created today will serve for a lifetime tomorrow.

I lost my dad on June 26th and reading your post made me feel so close to him. I like how you said "he lives in your heart everyday" and now mine does too.
