Happy Bastille Day~

le Quatorze Juillet~
July 14

Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité
Liberty, Equality, Fraternity

We'll spend the afternoon eating a lovely meal listening to the Marseillaise
and other french favorites, some campy, some not~

The weather is quite hot here again, so we're off to pick up some
beautiful french cheese, baguette & olives...
whatever else strikes our fancy~

I've lost my energy in the heat, so for now here's a little bouquet
to go along with the
french national holiday
enjoy your Bastille Day celebration
or whatever wonderful things you happen to be doing today
(Monday) I posted early since it's celebration time in France~

Jour Heureux ~ Happy Day to All!

Hi Tracie,
Happy Bastille Day to you sweetie!
Hey, stop by when you get a chance as I am having a giveaway.

Hey Tracie,
You will be happy to know that tomorrow I shall bear the heat as well. Alfie and I are headed to good old sunny, sultry Stockton. And it doesn't get much worse than that! It's the only time I use the air conditioner in my car. Save me some lemonade because I'm going to be mighty thirsty when I get back. Oh and could you pick up an extra wedge of french brie for moi aussi s'il vous plait?
Stay cool Zeke!

Celebrate for me too Trac...
This is a crazy, whirlwind busy time. My daughter has had great news with her apt..and bad news with her boyfriend of 2 years all on the same day.
The trials and tribulations of growing up....we have had an emotional few days but I have not forgot your gift.
I am not one of those...flaky friends.
Happy Bastille Day!

Did you have any French cheese and olives and bread left? That sounds yummy to me right now!

I'll have to do the same as Nancy and refresh my memory about Bastille Day! Right now, all I can think about is Friday when Mama Mia opens!!!

Ooh la, la. We are havin us a heatwave some here in Stockton. Change my lemonade to a cool, sparkling glass of French champagne. How ya doin Tracie?
Lisa & Alfie ( who doesn't understand I am leaving him behind in an air conditioned house because he wouldn't survive the heat!)

Dear Tracie,
Thank you so much for leaving such a lovely comment on Bernice`s blog!
I never been to her blog before, so I don`t really know her, but, I wish I did, because she seems to be the most sweet lady ever!
I`m hoping that our comments will cheer her up and that she can find a little comfort by knowing there`s still kind people in this world!
You are a real sweetie, and I would LOVE to exchange links with you!

Last year I celebrated Bastile Day in Paris. This year I had to settle for a French lunch in Annapolis, Maryland. Thanks for bringing a little bit of France into my day.
