Summer in Our Neighborhood

Thought I'd share some pictures of our morning walk...

This is Summer in our neighborhood~

All kinds of Sunflowers, big ones, little ones~
the birds are loving them you can see by this huge Sunflower - he can hardly
keep his head up - he's taller than me (yes over 5 feet tall!)

I fell in love with this turtle, I hadn't noticed him before~
He looks kind of grumpy doesn't he? Maybe he's just concentrating
on getting where he's going...

Which leads me to the question,
Are you having a busy, busy Summer?

I am. All the things I'd have finished by now are still
on my "to do" list.

Please say I'm not the only one taking two steps forward and
ONE big one back???

Okay, here's someone that knows how to relax~
And a close-up in case you missed him~
We're off to the Fair tomorrow
and taking the rest of the week off from posting.

Hope you're making progress, getting things complete
and are having as much fun as the little squirrel,
content in the tree having at least a little leisure time too!

Oh yes, Mamma Mia was great!

Happy Week and Weekend~
Until next week ;)

Glad you enjoyed it. I'm still walking around carrying a dog underneath each arm. You know how these renovation projects go. The guy was supposed to...and this guy can't make it....and blah-blah! And I'm still waiting and carrying dogs around and wanting my house to myself!
xoxo, Brenda

Your sunflowers are great! It took me a minute to find that pesky squirrel, but I did!

Are you going to your state fair? Ours starts in Aug. and we probably won't go as it is really, really hot. BUT it's not far away (1 and 1/2 hr.) so we just might if the weather would change (fat chance for August).

Are you still humming ABBA tunes? I am.

Hi Tracie,
Those sunflowers are so pretty. That turtle does look grumpy, he's definitely a male. Summer is flying by but I am actually looking forward to fall. Enjoy the rest of your week sweets.

Good morning Tracie :)

Yes, I still have things on my to do list, but they're on hold until the house sells. If I start projects now people will not appreciate the mess it makes LOL

Have fun at the fair!

Hi Tracie
Thanks for sharing your sunny morning walk with's been so cold here I'm missing my walks, I feel a bit unhealthy with the lack of excercise, we have a treadmill but it just doesn't seem the same as real fresh air walking!

No Tracie you are not alone in the world. I have a lot of things to do, and always find a reason not to do them. I am sick of myself. Must get off my big booty and do things.

It's been a weird summer though.

For some reason Sunflowers just make me wanna dance haha I guess because from when I was a little girl I would always see those cartoons with the dancing flowers! lol plus sunflowers get as tall as me! dont you love no matter how fast the world around a turtle gets it always go the same slow pace! I wish I was like that and could just take my time and do things slow! Ohh what we can learn from just one small turtle! Hugs

Tracie, you are one of several people I've found quite by accident to receive an award. I'm trying to broaden my horizons on blog land beyond my current links, little sweet thing! Accept my invitation by going to my post of yesterday and check it out. If you'd like to exchange links, please let me know also. I love exchanging gorgeous links with like-minded little cuties! You might want to check out a giveaway tomorrow also.

Hi Tracie! Enjoy your "non-blogging" days ahead! Breaks are a good thing. Yes, I believe little Twiggy just might have been checking out a little creepy-crawly. She also gets a charge out of shadows and reflections. She is a hoot. Saw Hancock with my daughter yesterday---PU is all I can say about that one. The ABBA tunes are filling a lot of ears these days! What a thrill, what a hit, what a great and fun movie!

My sunflowers were late blooming this year but they are already almost as tall as me! Seems to me like the summer is just going by too fast. =) Blessings... Polly

Thanks for sharing your lovely photos of you are not alone, our list hasn't budged either. We had so many plans and projects to do this summer and we haven't done anything! Those pesty projects that pop up that have to be done that you didn't plan for are the ones we have done. Hang in there and maybe the rest of the summer you will have time to complete at lease some of your projects!

Kindredly, Lynne Laura
