Beautiful Summer Days

Wanted to share a beautiful find...

You'll see Buttercup is the perfect model
I think it's because of the heat, she's just
too pooped out from the heat to care
and be her very cat like self this
very hot week in August
(sorry about my planting wagon in the back I forgot to move it... can you believe we used
to give Zeke rides in it? Now just used to cart plants back and forth
while Zeke looks on very sadly since he wants a ride!)

Back to my find...
I purchased the little burlap pillow
above from my dear friend,
Alice at Painted White

Here's a closer look.
Did you ever wish you had more than one
of an item, so you could place it all
around the house?

But it's one of a kind and that's
one of the things that make it so special.
Even Buttercup can't take her eyes off it

Must be that heat...
She never poses! Maybe it's for YOU :)

Notice the little "track marks" from Zeke's wagon?

I think I like it best here for now...
Perhaps because there is a plate of french cookies
right next to the chair
(palmiers, in case you're wondering ;)

We're off to enjoy the time we have before
school starts late next week

Au revoir for now~

I too love all of Alice's creations. The pillow is lovely and it looks great there, but I'm thinkin' it would look just as nice on the chair in my garden.lol
Buttercup is looking rather cute sitting there on that awesome table. Must be the photographer, I don't think she is having a bad hair day at all.

June

Hi Tracie,
That sweet, shaded area with the comfy chair right next to those cookies is where I'd spend my hot summer days! It's beautiful. And your new pillow is tres chic. I'll have to pay Alice at Painted White a visit. Thanks for sharing.

Poor Zeke! He doesn't understand that he's too big! I know when my doggies look at me with those big innocent eyes, and I can't make them understand why it is I'm leaving to go to the store, etc. Makes me feel so sad!

Hello Tracie! How are you? Is summer winding down chez toi? We are enjoying the last two weeks of summer before we both go back to our classrooms...it has been a summer of fun, food with a lot of basil and tomato and antiquing! Give Zeke a squeeze please!! Anita

Hi Tracie,
What a sweety Buttercup is....she looks a little Maine coon like, much like a kitty we had once. Alice's (or your) pillows are fabulous. I just realized the other day that she lives in Rochester NY.. We should have invited her to the Mad.- Bouckville show we all went to. She has great taste. It would have been fun!!! She would have loved Erica's booth for sure.
Hope the heat is starting to wain a bit for you. We're coming off a 5 day heatwave but it's going to cool off after today.
Hope all is well,
XO,
Carole

Dearest Tracie! I am soooo glad you made it! This is my first blogging summer and I have learned that most people are away for quite a time and that I might not see the likes of my dear friends for a while! I am so glad that you have had a great summer and it sounds like Zeke has a good bit of fire in him if he is howling back at Balzac!!! Act 2 is more quiet, but still full of animal antics that I don't think Zeke would object to! Take care dear sweet lady!!! Bisous, Anita
