Warm and White

I'm joining White Wednesday
this beautiful February day...

I've wanted to be a part of it since
June
of Laughing with Angels
started
sharing her whites months ago.

So, I've finally made it!
I wanted to share the birthday bouquet
my husband gave me for my birthday last month.

Beautiful white flowers,
the loveliest chippy,
white fleur de lys
sitting among the window box filled with
Paper Whites and Cyclamen

Also, I had to share my little bistro lights hanging outside.
We've seen almost
no Sun for weeks (except last Sunday).
Can't wait until the Sun shines here again

in California & the little birdies start singing!

It is romantic to look out the windows and see
little bistro lights
shimmering in the rain
in the evening.

Thank you for joining me for

White Wednesday

Don't forget to visit
Kathleen's blog Faded Charm
to see all the participants

Also, I couldn't let this day pass
without mentioning my dad.

It's been a while since I've talked about him
on my blog. If you've spent any time here
in the past, you know he meant the world to me.

Today's my dad's birthday and I just
have to say I'm hugging him in my little heart
over and over all day and know he's
watching over me like always ;)

Happiness to you!

Funny how certain dates stick in our minds. My mom's birthday is tomorrow. She's been gone a bit over three years. I usually do a post for her. Love the picture of your dad!. Thanks for the nice comments on my blog, and "Trash", she is the BEST!
Take care, Sue

Tracie I think the photo of you and your father must be your most prized possession. I have three of the only pictures taken of me and my father together and they are definitely mine. I hope today was a wonderful day of remembering all the things about your father that made you love him so.
I love beautiful white blooms from your dear one. You have to know, I'm coveting that fleur de lys and basket too.
hugs to you,

Hi Tracie, I finally am taking a bit of time to blog hop this evening and catching up here with you. How sweet this post is. It's wonderful to have those memories of childhood, and there is nothing as precious as a father/daughter bond. I lost my father too, a long time ago....but he is forever in my heart.....as I am sure is the case with you and yours:-)~ xoxo~ Janet

Hi Tracie, I know on the day you posted this, you were honoring your dad's birthday. It's amazing how I picked this day to pay you, one of my very first blogging pals, another visit. Yes, this date is my mom and dad's anniversary. My dad has been gone almost twenty years...and my mom for six years. I miss them both so very much. . . . dana
