Girly Girl Place

One of my favorite places to get all
girly girled up is ~
my very own little (tiny) boudoir...

Not one my husband or daughter primps in...
Only me ;)

Want to take the tour?
I promise it will take only seconds!

Old French Medicine Chest

You, by now know how I love architectural elements
especially those from France
Paris Building Zinc Capture

Even though we live in a cozy, old house with little room
I try to make each small space my own and put
a romantic spin on things here in Wine Country.

I'm always changing things out, but thought I'd
show what's there at the moment.

I've had a lot of emails asking me about this space
and how my romantic style is used there...
or I should say, if it's used there at all!
So, here's goes...

A must for me, always have flowers

I love architectural elements
Bits of Nature from Walks too
Wall tin from St. Elizabeth's School ~ Flea Market Find
Natural Light (wherever possible)
Vintage Tennis Ball Caddy for my books/magazines
Candles, love their glow... even in daylight

Claw Foot Tub Found at Recycle Center
Love this tub & old details

French Details Above Water Closet

From French Flea Market

Essential Oils & Plush Towels
The perfect color soap dish for me... bleu/grey
Searched for this mirror, finally found one at a friend's store
A Favorite, a real girly scent (but not heavy)
Disneyland find... many, many years ago!
Petite Shell Box
Vintage Pedestal Sink
Love French wire everywhere too
Lots of French Coconut Soap from Marseille
All special gifts from Family, look at all the paper tiaras!
More cushy towels and mats
Window View... Natural Light
Little French Baby Bath for Goodies
So... it only took a moment!
Whatever the size of room space,
do you make it pretty for you?

Where's that special place for you?

French Memorial Heart

We're coming up on another weekend,
have a beautiful one!

Happiness to you

Oooh Tracie, your petite boudoir is so beautiful! I love each and every detail, and yes, it is girly girly! I love the gorgeous filmy curtains and the natural light and the view out your window. What a wonderful recycle center find your clawfoot tub is! I couldn't wait to visit my grandma and great grandma in Santa Fe when I was a little girl, they had a beautiful clawfoot tub I loved to bathe in... of course I love your Nature finds from your walks too! Merci for sharing a peek inside your beautiful girly space... xoxo Julie Marie

How nice to have a special place just for you! (with no beard hair in the sink! haha!) I would love that! It's a beautiful space!

The roses and lacy curtain blowing in the breeze evokes a 'feeling' for your pampering sanctuary and the scent of French coconut soap? That must be heavenly! Where can I get some Tracie? xoR

Hi Tracie,
From one girlie girl to another girlie girl.....I love everything.
You have taken so many vintage things and created beautiful vingettes.
Thanks for telling me that thingee is a tennis ball holder. I found one and didn't know what it was. But, luckily I bought it because it was cool.

Tracie, your space is heavenly. It is just as I would imagine your private space to be - full of treasures, tranquility and beauty. Love, love all your touches - the tennis ball cart for your magazines is inspired. You have such style, my friend. It is beautiful, elegant and lovely - just like you.

Such a serene spot Tracie. I think that my fave shots are with the lace drapes blowing in the breeze. And a tennis ball basket for the bath...what a great repurposing idea that is! I used to play tons of tennis...I know I must have my old one around here someplace....hmmm?!? xoxo
