Weekend Wishes

 Wishing you a spectacular weekend
filled with great things!

One of the items that's on our list
is visiting a barn this weekend...

 Isn't their little truck darling?
I would love one to drive to all
the flea markets I frequent in & carry
the goods home!
(Hmmm... maybe a fleet of petite trucks?)

Love these gates, love everything iron
(and heavy, just ask my husband...
the heavier to carry the better ;)

We're going to take it easy too...
It's getting really hot here, but Giles still
insists on laying in the Sun

We're growing tons of peppers because of the heat though...
Are you growing peppers too?

My petunias are not liking the heat a lot but hanging in there,
I love, love, love petunias!

Whatever you do, have a wonderful time

What are your plans?

Will let you know how Barn Diva is next week :)

Happiness to you

It is too hot to do much of anything here, Tracie! I've had it with the heat. We're hoping for some rain, which we desperately need. So, we'll probably take it easy. Have a great weekend.

Hello Tracie... oooh, yes, I think you need a fleet of petite trucks like that!!! Jack and I would love a vintage farmtruck to restore... are you joining the Barn Chicks party? I hope so! I would love to see the barns you find to photograph... I am having a ball running around taking barn photos! And I love how the whole barn~farmhouse~shabby~French thing ties in together! I am trying to decide how to best describe myself... a shabby French farmgirl??? xoxo Julie Marie PS Kitty kisses to Buttercup, Giles and Gigi and big doggie kisses to Zeke! Tell Giles to get out of that hot sun!!!

Your post makes ME want to go to a barn sale and believe it or not, I used to have a pickup truck...just something handy to drive when I wanted {very old and scrappy though}!

I am hoping it cools off a little. The lake is not the place to stay indoors at. Maybe I can survive...we do have a nice breeze.

Have a great weekend, Tracie!

The heat has been bad here too along with high humidity. We need the rain, had the thunder and lightening this early evening, but then it went around us. Bummer. I love petunias too! I have some in all of my window boxes, a beautiful purple..very vibrant looking, which looks great against the pale yellow of my house. I want a truck too as my poor ol car has hauled just about everything! I guess I can dream...
Have a great weekend!

Hi Tracie,
Love those gates and that old truck is so cute!! It is also VERY hot here in Michigan and we need rain. It rained and rained until we didn't need any and now we do. We aren't getting much accomplished because it is so hot plus...hubby came home from work yesterday with three stitches on his finger. Sounds like a weekend of rest to me. lol
Happy weekend doing what you love...

Did a little yard work and now I'm off to the kitchen to make a few new batches of soap.

Wouldn't it be fun to have a cool old truck like that to go antiquing in?! :D

Have a lovely weekend!

One of my very favorite things to take photos of is old barns. Love them!

Hi Tracie, you made me laugh again. My husband thinks I live by the same motto...'the heavier the better'!
hey if you do find one of those darling trucks, come and by and take me for a spin, will you? I would love one of those sweet trucks as well. I don't know if I would paint it or leave it as is, or paint it Magnolia Pearl style, but they are so charming.
If I find one first, I'll pick you up and we'll go junkin'
I hope you had a wonderful time at the barn.

If you send me your address, I'll send some hollyhock seeds this fall after they've dried. Do you want just the white ones?

Hi Tracie,
Oh it is really HOT HOT HOT here in the Lone Star State. If Miss Beazy and I are not in the pool we are in the studio.

I love iron pieces and those that are rusty and worn too. Yes, I think you need a fleet of petite trucks. I wouldn't mind one too for antiquing and junkin.
Giles looks so comfy soaking up the sun.
Your petunias are looking so pretty. I have 2 hanging on. Today is 104 and counting!

Kisses to the kitties and sweet Zeke. Miss B sends her puppy love!

Hugs, Celestina Marie
