A Trip to my Friend's Store & Thank You!

You know how I love to walk everywhere in town, right?
I'm so thankful to have that option to have cute shops
and fantastic restaurants so close to home.

Want to take a field trip to my friend, Barbara's store?
She's just renamed her store to much better fit
her ability to find unique items that are chic.

I love Uniquely Chic items don't you?

And yes, that's her new name...
Uniquely Chic

She mixes vintage goods, new items
and many, many beautiful flowers.

I love this chippy, white chair with the biscuit box

I also love that when I go in to Barbara's shop to take photos,
she lets me re-stage things... just says "move things as you want"

What person would not love that?

Chippy Goodness!

Cute garden children meet you at the door

Old garden table upon entering store with tons of fleurs ~ white, my favorite!

Beautiful Lady Statue

I'm wanting some of the White Broom for my garden too

Are you in love with these dreamy lanterns?

Know I am...

So many possibilities!

Lemon Balm Cypress... smells dreamy

Pretty trinkets everywhere

Orchids over Old Garden Gate

Pretty Plants too

See, unique... non?

White Broom... definitely on my list!
I hope you enjoyed this little tour of Barbara's
Uniquely Chic store.

If you happened to see something
you're interested in here,
her email is

I'm going to harass (I mean help)
Barbara to start her own blog and a Twitter account
before long so she will share in all the wonderful benefits
of the blogging community and great folks
out here filled with positive, generous spirits!

I'll be bringing you more photos of Barbara's
adventures since she'll be attending flea markets
with me searching for unique items
you can't just find anywhere,
(except maybe my shop ;)

I know I can't wait to get out there
and stock my store, My Petite Maison.

I'm joining in
Vintage Inspiration Friday at Debra's blog

~ et ~
Feathered Nest Fridays

And brand new to me
from Laura et Audrey...

Metis Linens French Fridays

Please check to see what other vintage
goods & dreams are out there today!

I'll be stocking my store over the next few days

but now...

I want to take a moment
to thank my dear customers:
Thank you from My Petite Maison!

It's an honor to search for all things French for you
and a little romantic chic too!

I truly appreciate every
~ one ~
of you.

Happiness to you,

That Shop is absolutely divine... I want that chippy chair... and the Madonna... and... *wink*... I think I'd need a U-Haul after visiting such a place! And to have plants and beautiful treasures together... does it get any better than that really?

Barbara's shop is everything I adore Tracie. I thank you for taking us along. I saw a lot of things that really caught my eye. Thank goodness I was seeing it all from a distance! I'm not sure I can squeeze anything more in this little house...but of course, I have to try.

So wonderful to see Barbara's shoppe through your eyes. I have loved being a part of the transition and seeing it blossum into a beautiful rose. The new name fits so much better. I am so happy to hear that she will be joining you on your treasure hunts. She is such a dear friend and will miss seeing her often. But, more on that later.
It's a great year for new beginnings!

You ARE very lucky to have wonderful places to shop so close to home. Everything here is bit of a drive away, but I'm making it my mission this year to visit them anyway!!

Oh I would love to visit your friends store. It is just like my favorite shop nearby that has all the natural green plants in the lovely containers and next to the worn paint - I just love that combo. I enjoyed your blog and decided to follow you. I hope you'll stop by and visit my blog soon and maybe follow me too :)

Oh, would I love to shop at your friend's! We have a little town that could be quaint, but leaders in this community have been sleeping for about 30 years now! We even have the Detroit River leading to two of the Great Lakes on block over. You'd think someone would open a few neat little shops in our downtown area. Your friend has great taste! You are so lucky to be where you are!
