Weekend Plans My Petite Maison ~ Romantic Prairie Style Magazine (Premiere Issue)

A note from My Petite Maison for this special weekend...

Flowers cut from our garden
Love that the roses are cut from our own garden from rose trees and bushes that are meaningful for us here at home.  The roses above are cut from:  Princess Diana, Diamond Jubilee tea rose, Julia Child rose,  Her Highness rose.

Many years ago, my step-father gave me $50 as one of my birthday gifts. As always, I love to purchase gifts that I'll remember the gift was purchased with a free for my heart's content gift by that person.  I love to keep track to remember... it doesn't happen much any more since most of my older relatives have passed on, but it is a wonderful comforting gift to me as I get older to remember these special gifts, free for the heart's content from my loved family.

FREE Heart's Content

To get back to my very long story... my $50. was used to purchase a Princess Diana rose bush.  This rose bush moved with us from our home 12 miles away to our current loved home over 8 years ago.  I can't tell you how much I love it.

Each rose bush mentioned above was a free for the heart's content gift.  Love them all and so sweet for the soul.

Back to business here, or actually non-business for the weekend, so to speak.  We're taking a long weekend to celebrate family, friends and love.  Starting now.

Wait a minute... I want to celebrate any one that gives with a whole heart.  If you're a mother, a father, a kind & caring person, a person that loves their pets too, that's wonderful in my book!

So, for this weekend, I'm giving away the Premiere Issue of Fifi O'Neill's new magazine called Romantic Prairie Style Magazine and a one-year's subscription to the magazine.

We're off to enjoy our weekend and share special times together.  I hope you'll pull someone close, whisper (or shout) you care and enjoy each moment this weekend.

Leave me a comment if you'd love the magazine subscription and I'd appreciate if you'd like my sweet little FB page too.  A winner will be chosen Tuesday, May 15th.  (You need to follow my blog to be considered for this giveaway.)

Have a beautiful weekend!

Hi Tracie: Lovely post. I love the term free for the heart's content. I like the photography and your roses are beautiful. You could put me down, if you would, for the magazine. I haven't seen it yet but I've been hearing alot of buzz about it. In the meantime, hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day..Judy

Hello Tracie, I'm already a follower and I love to read your blog. I'm not on any other social network though. I'd really love to win the magazine as I've been craving some and do not own any due to several reasons. My last remaining friend/neighbor here is moving away, foreclosure, and our planned Magazine Tea Party is yet to happen. But I'm seeing so many excruciatingly gorgeous roses in blogland coming from people's own bushes and sadly I cannot grow roses here in south Florida ...yet! and I'm a florist and love roses...ai! I love the theme of your weekend, to care for others....will do :D

Love your roses Tracie! They are just beautiful. Sure wish I had the green thumb to grow them here. I can grow old fashioned roses, but not so much the newer ones. :(

I would love to enter your generous giveaway. I still haven't found that magazine locally yet. Keeping my fingers crossed and thank you so much!!!
Blessings~

Lovely post, Tracie...I too, have a garden full of memories...roses for my birthday, peonies for a Mother's Day, seeds given from a special Great Aunt..it is delightful remembering special people that are no longer with us, but their love remains.
We are having a quiet weekend... hosting an Italian dinner on the patio, for family. I wish you the best day on Sunday...full of love and scented roses. xxoo

I am leaving a comment just because I love the blog....
I'm far away in France and know that sending the magazines abroad are beyond expensive.

Oh your roses are beauties. I feel the same way about my roses and have tried to bring some along with me when we have moved. My favorite is a white heirloom that had a strange name like Castle Glavis but when I have tried to search for it I cannot find a rose by that name. So I just call her Castle...she has very delicate white blooms. I have been picking roses daily and putting in vases around our home. I also have a tiny vase with one fresh cecile brunner bloom for Mother Mary because May is the month to honor her too. I just came by today to say Hi, not for the giveaway. But hey, if I were to win, I'd be thrilled. I secretly hope Lady of the Woods wins. ox Have a beautiful weekend with your family.

I love your roses - I live in the woods now and there's not enough sun, but in my last house I had fourteen David Austin roses, my favorite rose was called Eden and it was a climber. I just bought the magazine, and it's great! I would love to have a subscription though!

Hi Tracie, Love this post since it reminds me that one of the best gifts to give is one that lives on to be enjoyed for years to come. I was secretly wanting a white lilac bush for Mother's Day but perhaps I should have let the secret out:) I've been taking care of Mom since she's in rehab from a fall lately and appreciating her so much more. Would I love a copy and subscription of Romantic Country? You bet girlfriend!
